Chapter 452: Adelia
Chapter 452: Adelia
He headed toward the dormitory area.
The massive dormitory towers stood proudly within the Academy grounds.
Compared to the first-year dormitory building, the second-year section looked noticeably more luxurious and refined.
The students here were stronger and held higher status after all.
Amon entered the building calmly.
The interior looked elegant with crystal lights hanging from the ceiling while soft carpets covered the floors.
A magical elevator stood near the center lobby.
Amon entered it before pressing the button for the fifth floor.
The elevator moved upward smoothly.
Soon.
Ding.
The doors opened. Amon stepped out into a quiet hallway lined with polished wooden doors.
He slowly walked forward while checking room numbers.
501.
502.
503.
Finally he saw it.
507.
Amon stopped before the door. Then he inserted the crystal key.
Click.
The door opened smoothly.
The moment Amon stepped inside, his eyes widened slightly.
"...Woah."
The room was far larger than his previous dormitory.
Much larger.
A comfortable living room spread out before him with a large couch, soft carpet, bookshelves, and even a small crystal table near the center.
The kitchen area was attached to the side of the living room despite students barely cooking themselves.
There was even a dining table near the corner.
A large window overlooked part of the Academy grounds beautifully.
Meanwhile another door led toward a separate bedroom.
Amon immediately entered it.
Inside stood a large bed along with wardrobes, drawers, and another study table near the wall.
The entire room honestly felt closer to a luxury apartment than a student dormitory.
Amon looked around with sparkling eyes.
"...Second-year students are treated way too well."
His mood instantly improved.
Without wasting time, he started organizing his belongings.
Clothes went into the wardrobe.
Books onto shelves.
Training equipment near the corner.
Everything slowly started making the room feel more personal.
After finishing, Amon finally dropped backward onto the soft bed.
FWUMP.
"...Ahhh."
A satisfied sound escaped his mouth.
The mattress was unbelievably comfortable.
For a moment, Amon simply laid there quietly while staring at the ceiling.
"This reminds me the time when I came in academy last year...it’s kind of nostalgic hehe~"
So much had happened during the last several months.
The island.
Demons.
Life-and-death battles.
Vetaa.
Meeting new people.
Angel.
Traveling.
Returning to the Academy. Everything felt strangely distant now. Yet at the same time...It all felt real.
A small smile appeared on his face.
"I’m finally back."
After resting for several minutes, Amon suddenly sat up again.
"Oh right."
Adelia.
He still hadn’t met her after returning.
Amon quickly stood up from the bed before stretching lightly. Then he fixed his clothes slightly and left the room once again.
The dormitory hallway remained quiet as he walked toward the elevator.
Now that he thought about it...
He was actually curious about how Adelia would react after seeing him alive again.
Amon walked through the long Academy corridors that led toward the infirmary area.
The hallway was quiet at this hour.
One side of the corridor remained completely open, revealing the beautiful Academy gardens outside. Vast green lawns stretched into the distance while evening sunlight bathed everything in a warm orange glow.
The breeze moved gently through the area, causing nearby trees to sway softly.
Amon walked calmly with both hands inside his pockets.
The peaceful atmosphere honestly felt relaxing after everything he had gone through during the last few months.
His footsteps echoed lightly against the polished floor.
But suddenly.
"Amon!"
A familiar voice reached his ears.
A voice he had not heard for many months.
The moment he heard it, a smile instinctively formed on his face.
He immediately turned around.
"Hello Profe—"
But before he could finish speaking. A shadow suddenly fell over him. Two soft hands grabbed the back of his head.
Fwoom.
Amon’s face was instantly pulled into something unbelievably soft.
His eyes widened.
He found himself buried between two massive soft mounds carrying a sweet comforting scent.
It was warm and soft. Very soft.
The exact same overwhelming feeling he once experienced when Queen Celestia had hugged him accidentally...no it was him who hug her accidently!
Except this time. It was fully intentional.
Adelia tightly hugged him against her chest without holding back at all.
Her body trembled slightly while holding him.
"A-Amon... you are finally back..." Her voice was filled with emotion. "Oh... how many months has it been... I am so happy to see you, Amon..."
She gently stroked the back of his head lovingly.
Amon couldn’t even see her face properly because she continued pressing him tightly against her chest.
Honestly speaking. He could barely breathe.
But strangely... The warmth felt comforting. Very comforting.
As Adelia continued stroking his hair gently, Amon slowly relaxed.
A small smile formed on his hidden face.
Then he wrapped his arms around her waist naturally.
He wanted to say something. Really, but his face was currently trapped in a very dangerous situation.
After a while though, Amon finally started suffocating slightly.
"Mmph—"
He somehow raised his head upward little by little until finally his nose escaped from the soft prison.
"Haaah..."
He inhaled fresh air deeply before looking up.
Now his face remained only inches away from Adelia’s chest while he stared directly at her beautiful face.
Her long bright green hair flowed freely today unlike her usual tied style. Several strands framed her beautiful face softly beneath the orange evening light.
Her yellow eyes looked slightly teary and half-lidded with relief and happiness.
Her fair skin glowed beautifully beneath the sunset.
Amon stared at her quietly for a second. Then he smiled warmly.
"I’m back..."
His voice softened slightly.
"And I missed you."
Adelia’s expression trembled faintly after hearing that.
Slowly, she closed her eyes before nodding gently.
Then finally she released him reluctantly.
Amon straightened his posture again after nearly being bent forward during the hug.
Meanwhile Adelia quickly brushed near her eyes softly as if trying to hide the tears that almost escaped.
The orange sunlight framed her figure beautifully.
For a moment Amon honestly couldn’t help but admire how beautiful she looked.
Especially after not seeing her for months.
Adelia noticed his gaze and smiled faintly.
"Amon..." Her voice carried warmth again. "I want to talk with you properly. There are so many things I wanted to ask..."
Then she looked toward the infirmary building nearby.
"Let’s go inside."
Amon nodded immediately.
"Okay."
The two of them walked side by side quietly toward the infirmary.
Neither spoke for a while.
But strangely, the silence between them didn’t feel awkward at all.
It felt comforting. Soon they entered the infirmary building. The inside remained peaceful and quiet. There were no patients currently.
The faint scent of herbs and medicine lingered gently in the air.
Adelia led Amon deeper inside until they reached a quiet resting area near the corner where a long couch rested beside a large window.
The evening light entered softly through the glass.
Both of them sat down beside each other.
For a few moments, Adelia remained silent while staring downward at her own hands.
Then finally, her expression dimmed slightly.
"Amon..."
Her voice became quieter.
"I’m sorry."
Amon blinked.
Adelia lowered her gaze further.
"It was my mistake."
She clenched her fingers lightly together. "I was supposed to protect all of you as your professor during that mission."
Her voice carried visible guilt now.
"Yet I still let you students chase after the enemy."
Her yellow eyes trembled faintly.
"And then you disappeared..."
A painful expression appeared on her face.
"You vanished for months."
Her voice became softer.
"I searched for information constantly... every single day..."
Amon quietly stared at her. "I thought..."
She paused briefly. "I thought something terrible had happened to you."
Hearing those words, Amon’s expression softened greatly.
Without hesitation, he gently placed one hand on her shoulder.
"It’s not your fault."
Adelia looked at him silently.
Amon smiled calmly.
"It was mistake..."
His voice remained steady.
"So don’t worry."
Then he squeezed her shoulder gently.
"And look."
A grin appeared on his face.
"I’m back safely now."
Adelia stared at him quietly.
Amon continued smiling.
"So that’s all that matters."
Her eyes trembled slightly again.
Then Amon added playfully,
"And honestly... I missed you a lot too, my gentle Professor."
His smile became brighter.
"Now I can see my kind professor every day again."
Adelia blinked.
Then suddenly, a soft laugh escaped her lips.
"I really missed the way you talk..."
She shook her head lightly while smiling.
"You always know how to make people feel better."
Amon proudly crossed his arms.
"Naturally."
Adelia laughed again softly.
The heavy guilt inside her heart slowly became lighter. Then her expression turned curious.
She looked toward him carefully.
"You changed a lot."
"Hm?"
"Your mana feels much stronger now."
Her yellow eyes narrowed slightly while observing him.
"And your presence too."
Amon grinned proudly.
"Master Rank."
Adelia’s eyes widened immediately.
"What?"
Amon looked extremely smug now. "I broke through recently."
For a moment Adelia simply stared at him in disbelief.
Then shock appeared clearly across her beautiful face. "You reached Master Rank already?!"
Amon nodded proudly.
"Hehe~"
Adelia honestly looked speechless now.
"When you disappeared... you were still far from reaching that level."
Amon scratched his cheek lightly.
"Well... a lot happened."
