Mighty Lord

Chapter 2955 - 958

Chapter 2955 - 958

If it weren’t for Zhou Tian appearing to seize Paradise, and Paradise being extremely important to the Light God King, then once Zhou Tian displayed his strength, it would have been unlikely for them to have erupted into conflict at that time. Thus, under circumstances where the Light God King didn’t want to fight Zhou Tian, if Zhou Tian wanted to retreat and the conflict over the benefit of Paradise no longer existed, the Light God King actively creating conditions for Zhou Tian’s departure would not have been too surprising.

Of course, at present, it’s because Zhou Tian demonstrated formidable strength and, due to lack of preparation, injured the Light God King. In such a situation, the Light God King, cautious of further conflict with Zhou Tian, would indeed take the initiative to send Zhou Tian away. But after he recovers, even if Zhou Tian appeared stronger, the Light God King likely wouldn’t let things rest.

After all, from various perspectives, Zhou Tian’s retreat this time was due to concerns for the loss of angels under his command. Given Zhou Tian’s behavior at that point, whether or not he would abandon the annexation of Paradise was uncertain to the Light God King. He even believed Zhou Tian might likely strike at Paradise again, as Paradise was his territory, which wasn’t a secret in the Divine Realm. Since Zhou Tian dared to take action against him before, he wouldn’t cease his actions now due to his current performance. Hence, if Zhou Tian’s momentum didn’t waver, after further preparation, he might once again initiate the invasion.

Undoubtedly, once such thoughts occurred, the Light God King realized peaceful coexistence with Zhou Tian was no longer possible.

Although based on Zhou Tian’s strength, if he could avoid conflict with Zhou Tian, the Light God King certainly wouldn’t desire a confrontation. Yet despite not wanting a contest with Zhou Tian, given Paradise’s importance, he wouldn’t easily surrender Paradise.

Since a peaceful coexistence between Zhou Tian and him was impossible due to Paradise’s influence, add Zhou Tian’s apparent restraint, seemingly unable to fully harness his strength. Even if Zhou Tian could always maintain such formidable strength, the Light God King believed he would still have to engage Zhou Tian in combat.

To protect Paradise, the Light God King decided to fight Zhou Tian to the end. Thus, even if he lets Zhou Tian depart this time, he might later proactively take action against Zhou Tian.

Of course, Zhou Tian was completely unaware of the Light God King’s thoughts at the time. After all, Zhou Tian wasn’t the Light God King’s mind reader, and he couldn’t possibly know what was in the other’s heart. Therefore, Zhou Tian couldn’t discern the Light God King’s plans back then.

Thus, Zhou Tian never imagined the Light God King would let him leave effortlessly. So, when he carried out his action at that time, Zhou Tian was already mentally prepared to engage in combat with numerous modified angels to rescue his angels.

Though Zhou Tian seemed to be handling matters easily, he clearly understood his situation wasn’t as favorable as it appeared. If his luck couldn’t hold, it was possible the Light God King might forcibly keep him in Paradise.

The main issue was Zhou Tian wasted too much time at the Light God King’s place. Even the Abyssal Consciousness couldn’t deal with the Consciousness in Paradise effectively, and certainly couldn’t fully affect it in Paradise. Given the circumstances, to ensure self-preservation, Paradise Consciousness would reclaim all its strength immediately. But after realizing the Abyssal Consciousness wasn’t significantly threatening, upon repelling it, it would likely use greater strength to handle Zhou Tian.

No doubt, Zhou Tian to exert his full strength now paid a considerable cost to achieve this effect. Yet even if the Abyssal Consciousness suffered, allowing Zhou Tian some recovery, the time to restore full strength wouldn’t be long.

During his battle with the Light God King, Zhou Tian consumed a lot of time. While at this point, the Consciousness in Paradise hasn’t focused on him again, Zhou Tian knows when it does, his situation will be considerably worse.

It’s predicted that when Zhou Tian truly gets targeted by Consciousness in Paradise again, he likely won’t be able to sustain his previous strength. Thus, Zhou Tian won’t guarantee his own safe return to the Abyss World, and certainly can’t promise the safety of his angels in such poor circumstances.

Therefore, previously, Zhou Tian was genuinely eager to rescue his angels, knowing his fighting time could not be assured. Ambivalent about when he might lose strength, Zhou Tian obviously would not stay in Paradise if he could leave.

Back then, knowing this, when Zhou Tian realized he couldn’t kill the Light God King, he would anxiously proceed to rescue his angels. Because having spent a lot of time on the Light God King, the time left to rescue his angels was limited.
