Chapter 220 Symbiote Frenzy: The Final Battle Against the Riot
Chapter 220 Symbiote Frenzy - The Final War Riot
Spider-Man!
Riot was filled with hatred for Spider-Man—which was understandable; theoretically, Spider-Man was no match for him. If Spider-Man's bioelectricity hadn't severed the connection between him and his host, he wouldn't have lost at all. As for the hybrid's failure, that was because hybrids were inherently an emergency measure, and problems were bound to arise.
But if the connection between oneself and the host is not severed, the outcome is still uncertain.
So, Riot has come for revenge. Now that he no longer has the host debuff, he can fight Spider-Man without any scruples.
Peter had originally planned to help Thor and explain the situation so he could take this big daddy to face Nal. But now he didn't have time for that. The rampaging man's arms transformed into two enormous blades, and he stuck out his tongue, charging towards Peter.
Peter fired webs from his wrists, binding all the blades on Riot's arms. Then he jumped up and kicked at Riot. Riot watched Spider-Man walk into his death trap, anticipating his arrival. He swung his blades to cut the webs, attempting to sever Spider-Man in two.
But Spider-Man disappeared, and he didn't manage to cut anything.
As Peter became invisible, he released his webs and, halfway there, used his bio-electromagnetic field to forcibly "stick" himself to the floor. He stopped abruptly, then fired webs to stick to Riot's legs and pulled hard. Riot immediately lost his balance and stumbled, almost falling to the ground.
It fell to one knee, deftly transforming its arms into two massive hammers, slamming them heavily into the ground. The entire building's wall instantly cracked. Peter, in stealth mode, leaped to avoid the impact, choosing to freefall. Simultaneously, spider silk clung to Riot's body, and the immense gravitational acceleration ripped Riot from mid-air. Both plummeted rapidly towards the ground. Riot extended its arms, embedding them into the buildings on either side, thinking it had finally breathed a sigh of relief. However, its arms were then severed, and it still crashed to the ground, creating a huge crater in the street.
As the smoke cleared, the riot collapsed into the pit like Yamcha.
"Stop pretending, Riot. I know a free fall won't kill you." Peter said, swinging the Dragon Fang Sword in his hand. This magical weapon gave him basic swordsmanship knowledge and skills. Of course, he couldn't compare to a weapon master like Hawkeye, but Peter not only had weapon skills, but also spider sense. With these two combined, his weapon combat ability was quite good.
"You knew you were unarmed, so you found one to use against me?"
Riot laughed mockingly, then his hands quickly regenerated, turning back into a shield and a spear, before charging directly at Peter.
"You think you can fight me just because you have a weapon? Spider-Man!"
"This is no ordinary weapon; it's a riot."
The Dragon Fang Sword deftly deflected the spear, piercing directly through the shield made of symbiotic biomass. Peter then swept it horizontally, slicing the entire shield in two: "This is a divine weapon."
Riot was powerful, but he wasn't immortal, and Peter knew that very well. Otherwise, he wouldn't have been afraid of the high-energy rays of the Iron Spider armor, nor would he have used a S.H.I.E.L.D. bomb to kill himself. It's just that Peter didn't currently have a weapon with that much power to do so.
However, he had a rather unique method for suppressing the riots.
With each strike of the Dragon Fang Sword, Riot was gradually slashed away, until his original height of over 1.8 meters shrank to just over 1.4 meters, forcing him to crane his neck to fight Spider-Man. Peter, seizing his opportunity, was preparing to unleash Venom when his spider-sense suddenly activated, causing him to instinctively dodge.
It turned out that the biomass components that he had cut off, which belonged to the riot, were still under the control of the riot after leaving the body, turning into sharp thorns that pierced Peter.
Peter was not hit, of course, but at that moment, Riot stretched out his arm and grabbed the tip of the Dragon Fang Sword. He knew very well that Spider-Man was able to fight him precisely because of this divine weapon. If he got this weapon, wouldn't he be able to destroy Spider-Man?
"Give it to me!"
"Sorry, this isn't your package!"
More and more biomass returned to Riot's body, and Riot's strength gradually returned to normal. It began to struggle with Peter, and in the end, both sides exerted force simultaneously, but neither could grab the Dragon Fang Sword. The Dragon Fang Sword flew out and embedded itself in the wall. Both people in the tug-of-war simultaneously collapsed to the ground from exhaustion.
"Okay, buddy, Plan B! I'll get you some extra chocolate later."
It must taste terrible.
As Venom spoke, it unleashed itself, and the massive creature, over three meters tall, rose from the ground, roaring as it charged at Riot. Riot reciprocated without hesitation, and the two collided, their fingers interlocking in a struggle. Venom, looking at the mere 1.8-meter-tall Riot before it, couldn't help but chuckle, "Ha, look at you, you're always so small, no matter what."
"Poor Venom, so big, yet only has the strength of a person half his size."
Venom narrowed his eyes, staring at Riot: "Let's wait and see, buddy."
The two sides were locked in a stalemate, but Riot looked at Venom with considerable confidence. The reason was very simple: both sides could already hear the symbiote minions making noise, and they were getting closer and closer.
"I won—Aaaaaaaah!!!"
A sharp divine sword pierced Riot's body, instantly robbing it of its strength. Venom seized the opportunity, grabbed Riot's shoulder, lifted it up, bit its head, and ripped it off. Riot turned into a puddle of mud, which Venom then stuffed into its mouth.
The Dragon Fang Sword clattered to the ground. Cindy, somewhat bewildered by the scene, watched as Venom transformed back into Spider-Man. In her panic, she blurted out her first question, one that even she found difficult to answer: "How does it taste?"
"I don't know. Normally, Venom doesn't share my sense of taste, lest I get tired of chocolate." Peter said, taking the longsword Cindy handed him. "Thanks, Cindy... What brings you here?"
"I sensed that your movements weren't changing much, and I was worried that something might be wrong with you, so..."
"I'm fine."
Peter had barely finished speaking when he suddenly clutched his chest. He felt something was wrong with him, and then, as if sensing something, he asked incredulously.
"I—no, Venom—stole the Riot Codex after consuming Riot?"
