Chapter 36 Seeking One's Own Death
Chapter 36 Seeking One's Own Death
His men scrambled out of the room.
A few hours later, he brought back a pendant, a silver chain with a skull hanging from it, and the name Fernando engraved on the back.
The pendant was found on the ground at an intersection.
There were signs of a battle around, as well as dried bloodstains.
As expected, Fernando and his group were killed.
Frimendo clutched the pendant, his knuckles turning white.
"Who did it?"
"Boss, we don't know. The other side cleaned up very well; they didn't even find the body. However, there's a guard tower nearby, the kind where you can recruit gargoyles."
Frimendo paused for a few seconds, then ordered, "Send men over there to keep an eye on things. They'll definitely be recruiting. Report back immediately if you spot anyone."
Two of his men were sent out and disappeared into the ruins.
Frimendo returned to the underground parking lot, sat on the sofa, and remained silent.
He is not an impulsive person.
Those who survive the apocalypse are not impulsive.
He needs to figure out who his opponent is, their strength, and their weaknesses before he takes action.
The next day, the person keeping watch returned.
"Boss, I saw it." The subordinate panted, "Someone recruited gargoyles this morning, and then went south. There's a peculiar complex there, with walls, even a castle..."
Frimendo's eyes narrowed.
How many people are there over there?
"There were only a few, and strangely enough, their numbers were small; I only saw one caveman and seven or eight gargoyles..."
"So little?"
Frimendo was taken aback. His first thought was that his subordinate hadn't seen clearly and was just making things up.
He asked again, and his subordinates answered with absolute certainty, even swearing an oath.
This time he believed it.
This subordinate was a long-time employee who had worked for him for many years; he was reliable and steady in his work.
"I understand. Their main force has gone out, leaving behind only those who are guarding the territory."
In Frimendo's view, this was the only possibility.
And they immediately realized this was an opportunity.
"Could these unusual buildings be what's known as 'territory'?"
Frimendo thought it was possible.
But regardless of whether it is or not, this is an opportunity to annex the other party.
What's more, it also involves the feud with his brother Fernando!
Frimendo stood up.
"Gather everyone, bring all guns, all types of soldiers, let's go and take that place now."
The gang's underlings immediately sprang into action.
It was already dark by 7 p.m.
Frimendo led over thirty gunmen, forty-odd imps, and twenty-odd goggles out the door in a grand procession.
In his own eyes, this force was already extremely powerful.
Upon arriving at the location, Frimendo used a telescope to carefully observe the buildings.
The gray stone walls cover a large area, almost half the size of a football field, and contain several very unique buildings.
"I've never seen a building like this before. If this is territory, then we've struck gold." Frimendo was a ruthless character. He saw that there weren't many people inside and had already made his decision.
"Let's do it!"
Frimendo gave the order.
With so many people approaching, the creatures remaining in the territory immediately noticed.
Hammer was resting when he suddenly heard the low growls of hellhounds from the other side of the wall. In addition, two eerie figures appeared on the roof at some unknown time, like two statues.
He knew that those were the level four troop Lin Mo had left behind to guard the territory—vampires!
"Someone's here?"
Hammer's heart skipped a beat.
Lin Mo took Genova out, leaving only him and the Daniel brothers in the territory.
Just then, two terrifying figures on the rooftop activated their defense mode as soon as they realized the intruders had entered their attack range.
Call ~
The two vampires transformed into bats and charged towards the intruders.
The darkness of night perfectly concealed the two vampires.
So much so that people only noticed when these two terrifying monsters appeared in the crowd.
First came screams, then a series of gunshots.
Hammer immediately called Daniel and the others over.
They were all carrying guns, cautiously peering over the wall.
Chaos reigned outside.
Gunshots and screams mingled together, ringing out incessantly.
Hammer immediately released his cavemen and gargoyles as well.
As for the Hellhound, he had no control over it. Dog Brother could go out if he wanted, and he couldn't force him if he didn't.
As the door opened, several hellhounds rushed out.
Only then did Hammer and his group realize how many people were outside.
They were densely packed, numbering in the hundreds, but most of them were lesser demons, along with Gogs, a level 2 Hell unit.
Upon seeing this, Hammer also gasped.
He finally understood: someone wanted to take advantage of the fact that the territory had few people and planned to launch a forced attack.
Fortunately, the boss had prepared a backup plan; otherwise, the other side might have actually managed to break in.
However, the situation is now one-sided.
Hellhounds are terrifying; one bite can kill several people, but vampires are even scarier.
These two monsters were reaping lives at an incredible speed, braving a hail of bullets.
With claws and teeth, they can kill easily.
With a single swipe of its claws, a human can be disemboweled and bones broken.
Those bitten by vampires suffer an even more gruesome death; with a single bite, all the blood in a person's body is drained within two seconds, turning them into a dried-up corpse.
However, the other party must have some skill to dare to come.
Not only are there many people, but there are also a lot of different types of soldiers.
The forty lesser demons looked like a huge mob, but the most troublesome were the Gogs at the back, who kept throwing fireballs.
Hammer glanced at the opponent's formation and got a sense of what was going on.
Lin Mo had told him that because troops could be stacked, this strong offensive tactic should be utilized effectively, and firepower should be concentrated immediately to prioritize eliminating ranged units.
"Gargoyles, attack Gog!"
Hammer immediately issued the order.
Including the ones recruited today, he now has 24 gargoyles, which he previously had Jenova help him stack into 8 groups of 3.
This is exactly the kind of product that comes in handy right now.
The gargoyles were very fast, and upon receiving a clear command, they immediately pounced on the back row.
Under the claws, the Gogs' formation immediately collapsed, and half of them were killed in a single exchange.
A few seconds later, all the Gogs fell to the ground.
Enemy ranged units wiped out!
Furthermore, Hammer's 40-strong single-unit group of cavemen moved with impunity, and nothing could withstand their spear.
Whether it's a military branch or a living person.
The enemy planned to retreat, but it was clearly too late. In terms of speed, the vampires and gargoyles present were definitely the trump cards. As flying units, they had a speed advantage that other units could not match.
Therefore, the enemy had absolutely no chance of escaping.
If we take a gamble, perhaps we can die with some dignity.
If they try to escape, they will only be defeated one by one.
By this time, the gunfire had subsided, and of the original thirty-odd intruders, only five or six remained, and they were terrified.
The vampire pounced on two, and the gargoyles killed several more.
The last person tried to run away, but he didn't pay any attention to the caveman. The blind man ran a few steps, rushed in front of the other man, and pierced his chest with his short spear.
