Chapter 25 Guardian Tower, The Mexican Gang
Chapter 25 Guardian Tower, The Mexican Gang
"clear."
Hammer turned and left.
Lin Mo also went out and called Daniel and the others over.
"Boss, what can we do?" The three Daniel brothers also straightened up.
"You two stay here and guard the place," Lin Mo said. "The two hellhounds in the territory will help you keep watch. If anyone comes to cause trouble, don't hesitate to intervene."
Daniel grinned, revealing two rows of white teeth: "Don't worry, boss. Anyone who dares to come, I'll let them taste the power of an AK."
Lin Mo nodded without saying anything more.
He doesn't take the hellhounds out because firstly, he needs high-level troops to guard the territory, and secondly, the number of hellhounds hasn't reached its full potential yet.
According to Lin Mo's plan, he would only take at least twenty of them out, so that their combat power would be truly formidable.
After giving Genova some more instructions, Lin Mo finally mounted his horse.
The skeletal warhorse's four hooves pounded the ground with a dull thud.
Lin Mo opened the military manual and added all the skeleton soldiers and the few minor demons he had to it.
Of the eight squares, only two are occupied.
Lin Mo closed the military treatise and took a deep breath.
"Set off."
The skeletal warhorse let out a long neigh, its four hooves off the ground, and galloped wildly northward.
......
Meanwhile, Hammer and Genova had already headed west.
The twenty-eight cavemen had been combined into a single group by Jenova using the military manual, while the six little devils she brought with her were grouped separately.
They appeared to be a small group with average strength.
At this stage, even a level 3 unit would be in serious trouble if hit by a spear from 28 cavemen.
Jenova walked at the head of the group, longbow in hand, arrow nocked. She was a ranger, naturally perceptive, her ears constantly twitching, catching every sound around her.
Hammer walked behind.
He is feeling very excited right now.
Nervous, but not afraid.
Excited, but not impulsive.
Lin Mo had taught him many things before, such as how to control troops in combat, how to observe the surrounding environment, how to judge the strength of monsters, and how to stay calm in battle.
Now, he desperately wants to prove himself through a fight.
They explored westward, and after walking about a kilometer, they made quite a few discoveries.
Some scattered 'gold coins' and 'wood', a strange structure hidden in the building, about the height of a person, with a stone base, a ring on top, and a six-pointed star in the middle, called the 'Star Axis'.
After Hammer touched it, he received the message: "Only heroes can touch it."
So, let Jenova try.
The latter said that this item can increase the strength attribute by 1 point.
Hammer knew that only after he also gained territory and became a territory hero would he have strategic four dimensions.
For now, all we can do is mark it on the map and go back to tell Lin Mo.
So they continued their exploration.
We walked a few hundred meters more along the main road to the west.
"Stop!" Genova suddenly said.
Hammer immediately stopped in his tracks.
Genova's ears twitched a few times, and her gaze fell on a building a hundred meters ahead.
It was a three-story office building, its exterior walls covered with withered yellow vines, and most of its windows were shattered. In the open space in front of the building, several abandoned cars lay scattered, their bodies riddled with bullet holes and claw marks.
"There's something inside," Genova said. "Not human."
Hammer gripped his shotgun tightly: "What kind of creature is it?"
"Uncertain, but at least level three."
Hammer remembered Lin Mo saying that the warning range of Level 3 creatures was very large, so after thinking about it, he decided to go around them.
It still needs to be marked.
Lin Mo once said, "Fight if you can win, run if you can't."
His task was to search and mark, not to work himself to the bone.
The group bypassed the office building and continued westward.
After walking about two hundred meters, Hammer suddenly saw a very peculiar building ahead.
It was a gray stone tower, about three stories high, with intricate runes carved on its exterior. At the top of the tower was a circular platform, on which stood a gargoyle, which appeared to be a statue, motionless.
"A troop building," Genova said. "The Guardian Tower can recruit gargoyles."
Hammer's eyes lit up immediately.
He knew about gargoyles.
A level 2 unit, capable of flight, fast speed, and high defense.
If you can capture this building, you can recruit gargoyles, a flying unit, every day.
"Genova, check if there are any guards around."
Genova took a few more steps forward and observed carefully for a while.
"There are two gargoyle statues at the foot of the tower." She pointed to two gray shadows on either side of the tower gate: "They are in a dormant state; they will activate when you get close."
"Just two?"
"Just two."
Hammer breathed a sigh of relief.
Two gargoyles, along with twenty-eight cavemen and a few lesser demons, are more than enough to fight.
Just as he was about to give the order to attack, a series of noisy footsteps suddenly came from behind him.
Hammer turned his head abruptly.
A group of people walked over from the other end of the street.
Six men, dressed in brightly colored clothes, with thick gold chains around their necks, and carrying guns—pistols, shotguns, AKs, and more.
The man at the front was bald and burly, with a scar on his face that ran from his forehead to his chin. He had a fierce look in his eyes and was clearly not a kind person.
Behind them followed a group of little devils, at least a dozen, huddled together, red-skinned, with sharp horns, little forks, squeaking and chattering.
There are also eight more advanced creatures.
Hammer had also met him, and Lin Mo had given him a science lesson.
Gog!
The second-tier unit of the Infernal race.
They were a head taller than the little devils, with dark red skin, curved horns on their heads, and a ball of burning flame in their hands.
Gogs are ranged units that can throw fireballs, making them a level more lethal than Imps.
Hammer guessed who these people were.
"They're from the Mexican gang," he whispered to Genova. "Daniel said they're the strongest force in the area, with a large and powerful army."
Jenova did not answer.
She didn't care who the opponent was; she only needed to decide when to shoot and who to shoot first.
Scarface also saw Hammer.
The opposing team stopped and dispersed, their eyes sweeping over Hammer's group.
A caveman, six little devils, a woman who likes to cosplay elves, and a white man.
"Heh!" The corners of his mouth curled up slightly, revealing a cruel smile. In his eyes, this was just a piece of fat meat to be slaughtered.
"Get lost." He pointed to the stone tower in the distance: "This guard tower belongs to our Mexican gang."
Hammer's face darkened.
He recalled Lin Mo's words: resources are limited; if you take them, others won't have them. In this world, there is no room for humility, only for competition.
"We got here first," Hammer said calmly, but his grip on the shotgun tightened.
Scarface's smile vanished.
He glanced at his companions; they had eighteen little devils, and Gog had eight.
Gogs are a level 2 ranged unit, with a killing power far exceeding that of level 1 cavemen and imps.
Moreover, the other side only had one caveman.
Without a doubt, our side has a greater chance of winning.
"Fuck, are you blind? Fine, don't say I didn't give you a chance." Scarface raised his AK, aiming the muzzle at Hammer: "Leave the women and soldiers here, then kneel down, take off your pants, stick your ass out and let us play with you, maybe we can spare your life."
After listening, Hammer quickly thought of a question.
If Lin Mo were in this situation, what would he do?
A second later, he had his answer.
"Let's do it!"
