Chapter 384 Doctor
Chapter 384 Doctor
"No matter, just dig a hole and bury it quickly," the team leader said, pulling out a pen to mark the skeleton for covering with soil. He then quickly left with a few subordinates.
At that moment, behind a tree in the distance, Alex leaned against a post, breathing deeply. Despite Bell's use of a poison needle to subdue the enemy and momentarily halt the fierce battle, Alex was still drained of a lot of energy and stamina. He needed some time to recuperate.
"Vroom—"
Before he could collect himself, he suddenly heard the roar of engines. Alex turned his head and saw three black Hummers speeding towards him, all with red license plates. The windows rolled down, revealing six armed men and women, wearing earplugs and holding submachine guns, approaching with an imposing presence.
Alex's eyelids twitched, thinking these people must be from the authorities. He quickly pulled Bell into a nearby bush. However, before they could hide properly, a woman in black had already raised her submachine gun.
"Stop!" she commanded, the gun aimed at Bell and Alex.
Alex cursed under his breath, not expecting to run into acquaintances here. He could only stop and look at the approaching figure. The moment he saw the woman's face, his body froze. Beautiful, alluring, cold, aloof, domineering—wasn't this the mistress of the First Manor in the South?
Alex never thought he would encounter this woman here. But on second thought, it made sense. Bell was once the head of the Southern Chamber of Commerce and had been expelled from the First Manor by Tang Ruoxue, making it plausible that she would be developing abroad.
"Who are you?"
By now, the woman in black had lowered her submachine gun, her pretty face remaining vigilant as she looked at Bell.
"What are you doing trespassing in a restricted area?" Her eyes flashed with hostility, seemingly suspecting Bell of having a conspiracy, as Blood Dragon Park only allowed family members and no outsiders.
Bell responded calmly, "I'm here to save someone."
The woman in black's tone turned cold, "Save someone? There's no one here you can save."
"Not only is it heavily guarded with various traps and deadly formations, but the Four Guardians of Blood Dragon Park are also stationed here."
"You, a small fry, dare to trespass here? It's simply overestimating yourself."
"You'd better leave immediately; otherwise, not only will you fail to save anyone, but you'll also get yourself killed."
"Don't think that just because you're skilled and can take down a few people, you can rampage through Blood Dragon Park."
She warned, "That's impossible."
Bell's voice was calm, "I'm here to save someone, even if it means dying."
"Then you leave me no choice," the woman in black snorted, pulling out her phone and shouting, "Blood Dragon Park is heavily guarded; trespassers will die!"
Bell ignored her, holding a silver needle as he surveyed the surroundings, contemplating how to break through the encirclement.
"You really have a death wish!" Seeing Bell disregard her, the woman in black was furious. She drew a long sword and lunged at him. The sword gleamed menacingly.
Bell narrowed his eyes slightly, his right hand shooting out like lightning to strike.
The woman in black sneered, fearlessly meeting his strike head-on.
"Smack!"
The sound of their palms clashing was sharp and resonant. The next moment, the woman in black was sent flying like a kite with a broken string, crashing five or six meters away.
Her mouth twitched in disbelief, her face full of shock. She had thought she could crush Bell, but unexpectedly, she was the one injured by him.
The three silver needles brushed past her forehead and landed on the ground with a crisp clinking sound, displaying their sharpness.
"Whoosh!"
In the moment the woman in black was dodging the needles, Alex's figure flashed as he charged in front of her. His right hand formed a fist and struck hard towards her chest. The sudden attack was as swift as thunder, leaving no room for evasion. The woman in black could only block with her arm.
"Bang!"
Their arms collided, and Alex felt like he had hit a steel plate, his arms tingling from the impact. The woman in black grunted, stumbling back with blood trickling from the corner of her mouth. She stared at Alex in stunned disbelief.
"Smack!"
Alex backhanded her across the face, hitting her so hard that she tumbled head over heels five or six times before landing on the ground. Without pausing, Alex stepped forward, grabbed her by the collar, and shouted:
The woman in black laughed angrily, "You dare hit me?"
"Smack!"
Alex slapped her again. "So what if I hit you? I'm in a foul mood tonight."
The woman in black got up, clutching her cheek, and glared at Alex, shouting, "Bastard, I'll kill you."
Before she could finish, Alex kicked her in the stomach. She quickly raised her left hand to block.
"Crack!"
The sound of breaking bones echoed. The woman in black screamed and fell to the ground, clutching her stomach in pain.
"I warned you not to bully Sister Hongyan," Alex said, slowly approaching and stepping on her shoulder.
The woman in black struggled to speak, "You scoundrel, you dare cripple my hand?"
"I not only dare to cripple your hand, but I also dare to kill you." Alex looked down at her. "Want to try?"
"Do you dare?" she retorted. "There are so many zombies here. If you kill me, you'll be a fool and a criminal."
She shouted with false bravado, "If I die, the whole base won't let you off."
"Smack!"
Alex slapped her again, knocking out her teeth.
Alex looked at the woman in black and sneered. He then kicked her in the stomach, sending her flying out of the second-floor corridor. She spat out a mouthful of blood and fled into the car, terrified.
Bell and her companions were stunned, clearly not expecting Alex to be so fierce. But remembering his explanation, they understood—he was a madman after all.
Bell walked over to help the woman in black and said, "Doctor, you were too reckless."
"I know it's dangerous here, and I'm willing to cooperate with you to leave, but you shouldn't have hurt her. After all, we're in this together." She hesitated, advising, "By hitting her, you've made us enemies."
Although she didn't like the woman in black, she preferred her over the monsters outside.
"I didn't mean anything by it, I just didn't want to see her bully you." Alex smiled warmly. "If we survive, I will definitely thank you properly."
